The Magic of Homeschooling

This particular morning the children decided to look for fairies. The wonder of this moment was that 4 kids of different ages ( 8, 6, 4, 1) all together, plus the dog, decided to do a group activity all on their own. They used one of the books form The Spiderwick Chronicles series to do their research. Now some might say that fairies are not, or should not be part of school core curriculum, but I say anything that gets your kids to read and to find a joy of reading should be indulged. Wonderful moments like this would be lost if they were stuck in a classroom with only kids of their same age.
